Trinitite From King Tut's Tomb
"I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds." -- Mahabharata/J.Robert Oppenheimer
When asked by an interviewer at Rochester University if the Trinity shot at Alamagordo was the first detonation in history, Oppenheimer replied, "Well, yes, in modern history."
The green scarab in the middle is called Libyan Desert Glass a.k.a. Trinitite.
Trinitite can only be formed by thermonuclear radiation from an atomic bomb.
It has been dated to 26 million years ago.
It's Tektite...but not probably not Trinitite.
ReplyDeleteThe jury is out on what, exactly it is, but it wasn't formed by an atomic bomb created by humans. We didn't exist 26my ago.
Says you.
ReplyDeleteHumans existed hundreds of millions of years ago. We have the petroglyphs of theropods, sauropods, and plesiosaurs to prove it.
"The fact that some prehistoric man made a pictograph of a dinosaur on the walls of this canyon [Havasupai Canyon, Arizona] upsets completely all of our theories regarding the antiquity of man. Facts are stubborn and immutable things. If theories do not square with the facts then the theories must change, the facts remain." -- Samuel Hubbard, paleoanthropologist, November 1924
Oils,
ReplyDeleteNot just me, but every qualified scientist on the planet. Human beings did not co-exist with dinosaurs.
Believe what you want, but you are very wrong about it.
The Quark Observer,
ReplyDeleteWelcome to the website. Glad you enjoy it!
If you're interested in magic in particular you should see my posts on alchemy, Democritus, and Anaxilaus.
I encourage you to comment in the future...=)
Jeffery,
ReplyDeleteOne man's scientist is another man's crackpot.
"For every expert there is an equal and opposite expert." -- Arthur C. Clarke, author, 1999
OIM,
ReplyDeleteYou quoted: "For every expert there is an equal and opposite expert." -- Arthur C. Clarke, author, 1999
That means, Clarke believed in Newton. (see Newton's third law)
OIM,
ReplyDeletePlease correct the quotation, it is from Bhagvat Gita. And, please don't bother me with telling that Gita is part of Mahabharata... Oppenheimer vited the source of his statement...
Did you take your Lillies today?
JK,
ReplyDeleteI looked up Tektite, and it is much more interesting than OIM's nightmare of nuclear explosions.
It is green (see Wiki for a pic) and here is a link that is also interesting, when tektites rained from...
http://www.spacedaily.com/news/deepimpact-02k.html
There is no associated impact crater of suitable size and no bubbles in the glass, therefore not tektite.
ReplyDeleteOIM,
ReplyDeleteTrinitite is supposed to be radioactive with a characterstic signature... Where is your info that King Tut rock is radioactive with the matching signature?
Tektite does not have to be of Earth origin. Moon tektite have been found, as well as some from Mars.
ReplyDeleteIt could also have been an airburst asteroid that created the glass.
Here's the difference between you and I, Oils:
I look for scientific explanations that are applied to evidence. You look for evidence and apply your personal bias against science, and your trust of those who cry about censorship and victimization, to arrive at a conclusion.
You rub a little Velikovsky on it, and Boom! Blog post.
The Pteroglyphs of creatures resembling dinosaurs merely means that the culture found Dinosaur fossils eroded out of the rock which has been happening for 65 million years after their extinction. Sorry, OIM but Jeffery's right about our species not existing THAT far back. I've seen those pteroglyphs and those are NOT fact as Mr. Hubbard claims. Humans have been finding fossils for centuries since our evolution. They might be the oldest record of Dinosaur fossils found by humans; even older than the Ancient Chinese record of "Dragon Bones." (Dinosaur fossils, presumably, and were ground up for medicinal usage.)
ReplyDeleteJeffery- Why can't you just accept that OiM may be right?! I think you are just afraid of being wrong, which is just sad, especially for a so-called, self-proclaimed "Scientist" such as yourself. OiM and others on this blog are more of a scientist than you'll ever be with that attitude. True scientists consider ALL possibilities and not just put down others when they do not believe the same things you do! You are CHILDISH and you need to GROW UP!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteHmph..."Scientist!" MY a**
