Aquatic Aliens of the Ancient World

Oannes or Dagon is the aquatic extraterrestrial from Sirius and from whom the Dogon tribe derive their name.

[Lucius C.] Alexander "Polyhistor": Berossus: Of the Cosmogony and Deluge

At Babylon there was (in these times) a great resort of people of various nations, who inhabited Chaldæa, and lived in a lawless manner like the beasts of the field.
The same is confirmed in the Western Hemisphere by Von Humboldt.

"In the remotest times, before the Moon accompanied the Earth, according to the mythology of the Muysca or Mozca Indians, the inhabitants of the plain of Bogota lived like barbarians, naked, without any form of laws or religious worship." --Alexander Von Humboldt, naturalist, Researches, 1814

Alexander Polyhistor continues:

In the first year there appeared, from that part of the Erythræan sea which borders upon Babylonia, an animal destitute of reason, by name Oannes, whose whole body (according to the account of Apollodorus) was that of a fish; that under the fish's head he had another head, with feet also below, similar to those of a man, subjoined to the fish's tail. His voice too, and language, was articulate and human; and a representation of him is preserved even to this day.
This Being was accustomed to pass the day among men; but took no food at that season; and he gave them an insight into letters and sciences, and arts of every kind. He taught them to construct cities, to found temples, to compile laws, and explained to them the principles of geometrical knowledge. He made them distinguish the seeds of the earth, and shewed them how to collect the fruits; in short, he instructed them in every thing which could tend to soften manners and humanize their lives. From that time, nothing material has been added by way of improvement to his instructions. And when the sun had set, this Being Oannes, retired again into the sea, and passed the night in the deep; for he was amphibious. After this there appeared other animals like Oannes, of which Berossus proposes to give an account when he comes to the history of the kings. Moreover Oannes wrote concerning the generation of mankind; and of their civil polity; and the following is the purport of what he said:

"There was a time in which there existed nothing but darkness and an abyss of waters, wherein resided most hideous beings, which were produced of a two-fold principle. There appeared men, some of whom were furnished with two wings, others with four, and with two faces. They had one body but two heads: the one that of a man, the other of a woman: and likewise in their several organs both male and female. Other human figures were to be seen with the legs and horns of goats: some had horses' feet: while others united the hind quarters of a horse with the body of a man, resembling in shape the hippocentaurs. Bulls likewise were bred there with the heads of men; and dogs with fourfold bodies, terminated in their extremities with the tails of fishes: horses also with the heads of dogs: men too and other animals, with the heads and bodies of horses and the tails of fishes. In short, there were creatures in which were combined the limbs of every species of animals. In addition to these, fishes, reptiles, serpents, with other monstrous animals, which assumed each other's shape and countenance. Of all which were preserved delineations in the temple of Belus at Babylon.

  1. Uh-huh... sounds like an interesting experiment in genetics. Perhaps this could be interpreted as aliens intelligently designing all sorts of oddball creatures, perhaps during the Cambrian Explosion.

  2. To survive near light speeds it would be useful to be able to survive rapid acceleration. The best way? to do this would be to be immersed in a fluid, inside the moon err sorry inside the "ship".

Genetic engineering might be used for this purpose. So OK it might be possible. But did it happen? You will say it is written therefore it is history. But the accounts are second or third hand.

    Where is the space ship?

  5. OIM,

From your clipped quote, a mini-clip:
... without any form of laws or religious worship.

What a wonderful state before the alien gods (wimps) took over. The wimps must be charged for violating the prime-directive.

  6. QF,

Now this is beamfuck par excellence!

  7. KV "Now this is beamfuck par excellence."

All speculation until adequate proof has been furnished.

OIM "After the fallen angels went into the daughters of men, the sons of men taught the mixture of animals of one species with the other, in order to provoke the Lord." -- Jasher 4:18.

Uh huh, who is the Lord? I'm picturing like a lanlord of sorts, perhaps the landlord got provoked and then exiled them off this planet? Doubtful still, unless somebody killed the landlord of Earth and thereby there is no landlord anymore (I don't know of any landlords for the Earth, but I do know about human laws that prevent the genetic engineering, but each country is a unique experiment in law and government of course....there is no known landlord to prevent, say, North Korea from crossbreeding a duck with a crocodile or anything like that...lol).

  8. QF,

All proofs remain inadequate in some frame of reference (except Euclidian?, but I have doubt that Euclidian is real), hence, all we have are speculations!

I know this will make OIM's day, evening, whatever!

  9. Needs to have adequate objective evidence plus adequate deductive reasoning to adequately prove the "beamfuck par excellence".

  10. I know, this may be off-topic, but it needs to be made known how ignorant MOST of you are (except Jeffery Keown.):

Grvaity, a myth? You've replaced the force of attraction between to objects with noticeable mass with EM fields, yet isn't THAT, "Gravitation?" They Seem Synonymous with each other.

The "Expanding Earth Theory" contradicts itself. You say that there is no continental Drift (Which is fact) because of a cool mantle. Yet, you say the Earth is "expanding," Which depends on Convection Currents beneath the crust, requiring a molten mantle, which is the trigger for Continental Drift, which you say is impossible. See how there's a problem with that conjecture? You just contradicted yourself.

Besides, all of you don't know crap about what you are discussing. All of what you are discussing are complex systems that we fail to understand what would happen if the system was plunged into chaos. There is no "smoking gun."

  11. Mr. Lewis,

    Gravity is an ancient observation.

"The atoms, as their own weight bears them down...." -- Lucretius, philosopher poet, 54 B.C.

Universal gravitation is the 17th century myth you are looking for.

I do not say there is no such thing as continental drift because the Earth is expanding. A cold mantle does not prevent continental drift as the mechanism for expansion, namely oceanic seafloor spreading is known.

  12. QF,

    How about this?

Needs to have adequate objective evidence plus adequate deductive reasoning to adequately refute the "beamfuck par excellence".

  13. Well, we´re right back to where we started.

  14. I can't even attempt to refute that this blogpost is "beamfuck par excellence" unless you first define what the phrase means. Otherwise the phrase rejects itself due to vagueness.
