Walking 2 Million Years Older Than Darwinists Assumed

Science Daily: Ancient Footprints Show Human-Like Walking Began Nearly 4 Million Years Ago.
ScienceDaily (July 19, 2011) — Scientists at the University of Liverpool have found that ancient footprints in Laetoli, Tanzania, show that human-like features of the feet and gait existed almost two million years earlier than previously thought.

Many earlier studies have suggested that the characteristics of the human foot, such as the ability to push off the ground with the big toe, and a fully upright bipedal gait, emerged in early Homo, approximately 1.9 million years-ago.

Liverpool researchers, however, in collaboration with scientists at the University of Manchester and Bournemouth University, have now shown that footprints of a human ancestor dating back 3.7 million years ago, show features of the foot with more similarities to the gait of modern humans than with the type of bipedal walking used by chimpanzees, orangutans and gorillas.

The footprint site of Laetoli contains the earliest known trail made by human ancestors and includes 11 individual prints in good condition. Previous studies have been primarily based on single prints and have therefore been liable to misinterpreting artificial features, such as erosion and other environmental factors, as reflecting genuine features of the footprint. This has resulted in many years of debate over the exact characteristics of gait in early human ancestors.

Yay! Science marches on! (you see what I did there?)

Mythology is not science.

Their dating is highly dubious for a start.

Darwinism is not science; it's a religion.

Of course it is.

Cause religion changes all the time.

Faith updates and over throws old ideas with new evidence.

Bibles are discarded when shown to be full of bad ethics, questionable morality and unprovable postulates.

Religion is discussed in journals and tested against a background of open inquiry.

Religions are open to discourse, peer review and repetition of results.

Religion changes faster than science.

Scientific evidence of one faith can overthrow the pseudoscientific lack thereof of another.

The Bible is about history and science more than morality imo, e.g. stars, astrolatry, meteorites, geological catastrophes, extraterrestrials, outerspace, etc.

Scientific journals are religious in nature because whatever the Thinker thinks, the Prover proves.

Religions are indeed open to discourse, peer review, and repetition, e.g. meteorites described in the Bible exist and have been tested and shown to be true.

"It confirms what I have been saying for a long time about the Laetoli footprints. There have been previous studies showing they are human (see my book Forbidden Archeology) but it is nice to get this recent confirmation. Some scientists will say that this just shows Australopithecus had modern human feet. But the most complete foot skeleton of Australopithecus, from Sterkfontein in South Africa, shows a foot more like that of an ape than a human. The only creatures actually known to science (by skeletal evidence) that have a foot like that of a modern human being are in fact modern human beings. Until we find something different, the Laetoli footprints are best expalined as the prints of modern type humans living 4 million years ago." -- Michael A. Religion changes faster than science.

You are the only human being in the entirety of space and time who thinks like you do. It must be lonely in there.

YOu reverse the meaning of religion and science and then use your personal bias to attack. What results is a jumbled mess that no one would care to bother figuring out.

The Bible is in no way scientific. It is historical in many ways, but not the way you pretend.

Since when did showing colored rods to goats change the fur of their offspring? Since when did Pi = 3 outside of a Texas classroom?

Hatred of the Bible and denial of science in the Bible is in no way scientific. Meteorites exist despite the atheist claims of scientists like Lavoisier and Jefferson.
