Couldn't agree more.

But one item as food for thought.

Exploration and production are good words to use. Usually, this writer is pretty blunt, sometimes, too blunt -- call a spade, a spade.

But "drilling" has bad connotations of going to the dentist and getting your teeth "drilled." At least subconsciously, "drilling" is associated with pain -- sometimes intense pain.

Nobody likes going to the dentist to get their teeth drilled. (Okay, some like the laughing gas.)

Oil exploration and production is not painful in the slightest, not to the individual or to the environment.

Whether to engage in exploration and production is a political decision -- regretfully so, in terms of my preference -- and it's an uphill battle. No reason to make it more difficult than it already is, so while applauding the direct language at one level, at another, don't make oil exploration and production like going to the dentist -- that's a loser.

Apologies to all those dentists out there.
