Italian Pyramids

"Some of the Italians called Pythagoreans say that the comet is one of the planets [Venus]." -- Aristotle, philosopher, Meteorology, 350 B.C.

European Pyramids: THE HOLLOW MOUNTAIN of PIEDILUCO/Umbria

PIEDILUCO, 13 km south of Terni/Umbria. Meaning of the name: Piedi (lat.foot) lucus (lat.sacred woods)

Piediluco is known for its peculiar hill, la montagna dell'Eco "echo mountain", which is able to reproduce the echo of an eleven verses rhime by Dante Alighieri (Italian poet)! Italian exaggeration or evidence of an artificial structure?

Piediluco is also known for its splendor and creativity in celebrating the summer solstice festival on 21 June on Italy's most scenic lake.

You might be onto something.

The Bosnian pyramid sounds interesting.

The Andeas pyramid is confirmed and the Greek pyramids maybe somewhat primative copies of grander, bigger pyramids.

Should there be pyramids all over, could this be evidence of some "greater" civilization prior to some cataclysm?

Is it possible that rather than the Egyptian pyramids being the archtype, they were also copies of some grander, bigger pyramids?

What was the cataclysm that possibly wiped-out the earlier, more widespread pyramid builders?

How do the "floods" that are written about in various cultures the world over play into this?

It seems to be a line of evidence that needs follow-up on.

If there were earlier pyramid builders, do the large stone blocks play into this as well?

There are all kinds of questions that are raised if these early pyramids play out.

Anaconda,

I'm convinced by the evidence that Asimov's Nightfall is more science than fiction. Newton's Principia is fiction.

A great cataclysm could cause historical amnesia.

Certainly, pyramids were built on different continents, but aren't pyramids the logical way for Man to reach for the Heavens?

The priests conduct their "rights" at the apex of the pyramids, but apparently not the Egyptians (no room), to be as close to Heaven as possible.

Regarding Newton, he did as well as he could given the "tools" he had at his disposal and the general state of knowledge at the time.

I don't see you trashing Kant because he came up with the nebula hypothesis or Leibniz even though he was a Uniformitarian.

Still, the Bosnian pyramid must be confirmed, although, the evidence is very promising, the Italian pyramid needs more work.

Also, were these earlier pyramid builders part of one large civilization or seperate civilizations?

Were they giants?

Is it possible that trade and commerce were so fruitful that there was no war?

Or were the pyramid builders so far advanced beyond lesser "civilizations" that defensive structures were unnecessary?

Warfare technology that allowed high civilization without defensive battlements?

The Minoans show no defensive structures, could they have been a holdover, or "rump" of the earlier pyramid builders, if so why did the Minoans fail to built pyramids?

How technologically advanced were these pyramid builders if they existed?

Such are the questions if these other pyramids turn out to be man-made structures.

Keep looking.

Graham Hancock may have been partially right, but wrong to focus on the Egyptian pyramids.

Your track seems more promising.

Anaconda,

"I don't see you trashing Kant because he came up with the nebula hypothesis or Leibniz even though he was a Uniformitarian."

They get a free pass because they understood the nature of space and time....=)

I do have quotes on the sidebar from Myers and Velikovsky trashing Kant for the nebular hypothesis. And I'm happy to trash anyone for uniformitarianism, Leibniz and Aristotle included, though I'll surely go easy on them...=)

Excellent questions you raise!

@Anaconda

I don't have an attribution to hand, but more recent archaeological finds have disproven the old peaceful Minoan myths from the '30s. Battlements and defensive structures have been found.

One of the Italian structures is an extended quasi-pyramid, as it has no peak but a ridge. There is a better photo on the mother page, taken from a fortress nearby.... Umbria is quite popular with the upper set from London.....

The best structure for height with minimum work, material, etc is not a four square building. So why are the architects and builders if they conversed, all apparently unaware of this?

The easier way to erect them is to build them from within, and that way they have chambers, steps that do not get wet in the rain, and even less material is needed. All the msm depictions show solid, externally constructed building. Misleading?

Given the flood which was the result of the inter-glacial, there may be many non-pyramid shaped pyramids under water. The lower lying, oxygen richer, environs are favoured by humans for their dwellings alone and en masse. Labour would be required for such structures. Therefore.......

Given the ubiquity of certain spices, in mummies, could the builders all have been stoned?
I can't find a suitable pun....

These strike me as defensive structures, as well as party hangouts where the virgins lose their hearts. That is what we are told was their purpose. By whom? Another religion? Once the doors are closed, large blocks of stone, the invader would not even know where to knock if they were polite pillagers....
The population would be inside and able to open what ever doors and windows they had designed, allowing fighting or sunbathing and throwing faeces at the sea peoples, my ancestors, probably. They might have secured their wealth and food inside, no? I can't believe that people cannot see this. But I can believe that you have set this as a test and really knew all along....

(a tetrahedron is the answer...)

(what was the question?)
