Space does not exist except as a concept in our imaginations (See Zeno, Aristotle, Leibiniz, Maupertuis, Kant, etc.).
Space does not have a shape and only an absolute lunatic thinks it does. If space has a shape, then what color is it?
Furthermore,
Basic geometry (Euclid, Lobachevsky, etc.) proves space cannot be curved. See Euclidean definitions, postulates, and common notions and aslo see Lobachevsky Theorem 20. QED.
Lobachevsky died long before Einstein published his work. One supersedes the other.

Space is not curved, that is Onestone fitting a theory to observations. Gravity may also be a repulsion effect but I am not sure. Sailors know that two ships will close onto one another when currents and winds fail. Hence the Royal Navy tradition of beating to station before dawn as they would often be close to another vessel, having closed overnight. The small currents that still existed tended to push the hulls together as there was an absence of force between the vessels as they had not by mass, but by volume, presumably, prevented these currents from pushing the ships apart.
I say it may have something to do with the Aether, which is the medium for EM waves.
