Richard Dawkins Admits Intelligent Design Is Possible

"Well, it [Intelligent Design] could come about in the following way, it could be that at some earlier time somewhere in the universe a civilization ... [came] to a very very high level of technology and designed a form of life that they seeded onto perhaps this planet. Now that is a possibility, an intriguing possibility, and I suppose it's possible that you might find evidence for that if you look at the details of biochemistry and molecular biology you might find a signature of some sort of designer. And that designer could well be a higher intelligence from elsewhere in the universe." -- Richard Dawkins, atheist preacher, 2008

Bravo, Dawkins! A true scientist factors all possible - mind you possible - scenarios.

OIM, now figure out the probability for such a possiblity. And, so called designer must have to begin on a evolutionary ladder... The designer must have evolved, without any god.

Not if the designer had no beginning.

OIM,

If, if, and if... Just like the whimps beamfucking Mary and other nonsense...

Only a moronic designer would create the mess the world is in...

Dawkins still needs to prove that "admission", lol.

Expelled? Really?

That's absurd, even for you.

Sure, Dawkins says that aliens could have been behind human development. So what?

OilIsMastery said...

So if aliens like God caused humans to exist on the Earth, then obviously it impossible that He does not exist.

Dawkins has since said that the chances of any aliens visiting this planet are virtually impossible because of the vast distances between solar systems. And of course Dawkins agrees with the entire scientific community that the first simple living cells developed on earth naturally. And of course Dawkins agrees with every serious scientist that the intelligent design creationism idea is a childish idiotic religious fantasy.

So... you define Atheist as someone who does not believe in aliens?

Do you own a dictionary?

English, as you may know, is sort of a matter of consensus. We all kinda agree to use the same words with a few standard meanings.

Try it sometime.

Here's Dawkins' original quote, before Oils mangled it for his own purposes:

BEN STEIN: What do you think is the possibility that Intelligent Design might turn out to be the answer to some issues in genetics or in evolution.

DAWKINS: Well, it could come about in the following way. It could be that at some earlier time, somewhere in the universe, a civilization evolved, probably by some kind of Darwinian means, probably to a very high level of technology, and designed a form of life that they seeded onto perhaps this planet. Now, um, now that is a possibility, and an intriguing possibility. And I suppose it's possible that you might find evidence for that if you look at the details of biochemistry, molecular biology, you might find a signature of some sort of designer.

Human Ape,

I don't believe apes are intelligent enough to comment.

Jeffery Keown said...

Everyone who types comments here is an ape. (Unless you think cephalopods are reading your blog...)

Do you not believe Humans are apes?

Why did you pick that particular paper, of all of the IDiot material out there.

You are a closet "Evolutionist" aren't you? All this bullshit you fling about it is some kind of joke.

If you were serious about ID, you'd have mentioned a book by Dembski, Behe or Meyer... not that singular paper...

Dawkins seemed to imply as much in his book "The Blind Watchmaker". In attempting to demostrate how evolution can iteratively evolve what seems like complex attributes out of simple beginnings, he seemed to hint at how a kind of modulo arithmetic is behind it all.

Now, couple this with the new science of Evo-Devo, which shows that the genes which build the structures of all of life are tiny compared to regulatory genes that end up determining how those structures are presented (spider legs, hyena legs, and so on).

I think Dawkins may have been hinting all along that life was a type of "instant broth" -- just add sunshine and water, and eventually the clockwork expands out into the basic animal forms we see now...
